ICONIC PHOTO PHOTOGRAPHER CINDY SHERMAN I attempted to recreate this photo because I loved the era in which it was taken and I also loved the fact that it was a black and white photo! In my opinion it focuses on the educational turning point for women. It was the point in time when women were no longer considered just housewives and they were becoming educated and liberated. I took a lot of pride recreating this photo and had a lot of fun because I really like to uphold the principles of that time. The most difficult part of taking this photo for me was just finding a model…since I do not know that many people. It was fun trying to get the hand positions right as well as the angle of the eyes and the angle of the camera! I have never tried to recreate a photo before but we had so much fun…it was a great project and I am glad that I got the once in a lifetime chance to do it.
